Unit 6: London

London is a city in the south of England. People first lived in Londinium about 800 years ago. Its name was Londinium in Roman times. The population was 45.000 in Roman times, but now it's about 7,5 million.

There are places in London with the names of important people in history: Trafalgar Square (Battle of Trafalgar), Victoria Street (Queen Victoria)...

The people of London are called Londoners or "Cockneys". Famous Londoners include Charlie Chaplin (actor), Arthur Conan Doyle (writer of Sherlock Homes stories)...

Unit 8: Lionel Andrés Messi

Messi full name is Lionel Andrés Messi. He was born on 25th June 1987, in Rosario, Argentina, He's quite short. He's slim and he's got short dark hair and brow eyes.
Messi first played football when he was five yearts old.
He played in Argentina selection and then he played in F.C.Barcelona. Today he still in F.C.Barcelona.
Lionel Andrés Messi wqas twice the best football player in the world.

Unit 9: And expedition!

Saturday 15th September
I'm going to go on an expedition next Monday. We're going to stay in a hotel in New York. I must take my mobile phone, so I can't talk to my friends.

Monday 22nd September
Here I am in my hotel. It's rainy, and we're staying next to the shopping center. I'm going to take some photos because the views are spectacular. We're going to go to the shops later.

Tuesday 23nd September
This is me and my shopping ags. We had a horrible time, but in the shopping center were a lot of people. We're going to go to the New York center tomorrox. I must take my shopping bag, my satellite phone and my map!

Unit 5: The polar bears

The animal in this photo is a polar bear. Adult polar bears are 750 kilos the can swim more than 150 kilometers.

Females have two cubs every four or five years. Poar bears live in the Artic, Canada, Russia, Greenland and Norway. They live and hunt on the ice. Polar bears usually eat seals.

The Artic ice is smaller because the climate is changing. Pollution is a problem, especially oil. Humans hunt polar bears in some area. 

Unit 4: Carnival in Banyoles

Every year there's a celebration in Banyoles. It's called the Banyoles Carnival.

The carnival is in February.

On the day of the carnival I usually go to the carnival parade.

There are also a lot of people in the street. I love dancing and listening tomusic, I also like making the costumes.

I get up at 8 o'clock and I get dressed. I have lunch at 8:30 and I go to school the school is finished. I go to my house and I relax. Later I do the homework and I usually chat on the internet. In the evening I have dinner with my family and then I go to bed.

On Monday I go to ballet and on Thusday's I go to my English lessons and ballet. 

My holiday summer!

Hi, my name is Mireia and today I'm going to talk about to my holiday summer.
First I'm going to talk about Mieres.
Second I'm going to talk about Plataa D'aro
and Finally I'm going to talk about Banyoles.

I'm went to Mieres in the town festival in the festival I meet my friends and I go dancing, swimming pool.

In Platja D'aro I went to the cinema, I went to swimming in the sea and in the pool, I went to the cinema whit my family and I went to the bowling whit Bernat and Pau.

I'm went in Banyoles in the casal tennis in June and I went to the club whits my friends and took photos, and videos, swimming in the pool etc.

Banyoles! 

Banyoles is a city in Pla de l'Estany.
It's got a population of aproximaly 20,000, and there is a lot of tourism here.
I like Banyoles. I like the landscape, and my favorite place is the lake.
Banyoles is 110 kilometer from Barcelona.
It's about an hour on the train and there are buses and taxis from Barcelona.

Nationality and language report!


In my class there are 32 student from four different countries. There are people from Spain, Morocco, Russia and India. At school we have English classes five times a week, Catalan and Spanish are also subjects here. People in this class speak Catalan. My level of English is basic, My vocabulary is quite good, but I want to improve my speaking and listening. I think it's a food idea to memorize examples and I do my homework, I listen to pop songs in English, I check the grammar reference. I ask your teacher if you don't understand. I go to a language school. I revise when you've got and exam.
